The introduction

Howler Monkey . Osa Peninsula Costa Rica

Your cabin

  Shanti Wasi

A hammock on the porch. Yep, going to spend some time in the hammock, you think to yourself. The cabin is clean, the bed is big. The last guest just left yesterday and left some food in the fridge; please help yourself to all of it. You open the fridge, and it has fresh fruit and vegetables. There is a picture of water; you fill a glass and drink. The water hit the spot. On top of the fridge are eggs; shouldn’t the eggs be in the fridge, you ask. No, they are not pasteurized; they are fine not being in the fridge. Wait till you taste them, your host says. Plus, right up the road is the world-famous Martine’s restaurant and bar. Every Friday night, they have a market followed by some music. Everyone shows up.

Conclusion

Shanti Wasi is a wonderful place to unplug and restore yourself. To enjoy the wonders of nature and water at the same time. At the end of your stay, you will wish for just one more day. It happens to all of us who have stayed with our friends Jim and Tricia at Shanti Wasi!
