Monka Restaurant is on Main Street in Puerto Jimenez.
Walking from the soccer field to town, you will walk past the police station. Right across the street is Monka. They offer breakfast sandwiches that are very good. Their bread is fresh and just the right amount of crust versus the soft part. If you ask, they might make you bacon and eggs. Don’t forget to try a fresh fruit smoothie or a cafe mocha.
Their food is very good with nice-sized portions. Monka is open for breakfast and lunch. If you have a sweet tooth, look no further because they have an ice cream parlor! Their milkshakes are delicious.
Great sandwiches
I have eaten at Monka restaurant several times. Their homemade sandwiches are great; make sure you ask them to heat them. They have a covered patio with a couple of tables. This is my favorite place to sit watching everyone walk by. Yes, I like watching people. The restaurant has a modern feel to it, which draws a lot of visitors. For the most part, I do not use sugar, but I have to tell you their milkshakes are outstanding. Stop on by and tell them I sent you.
