Getting there
The intersection at BM grocery store, take a right and follow that road. The road goes all the way to Carete. When you see a sign saying Pelican House, count that as road # 1. Playa sombrero will be the third road to the left.
Playa Sombrero is a beautiful, long stretch of sand that offers great protection on calm days. Because it is primarily a low-tide beach, you can walk out for nearly 50 meters when the tide is out. The beach goes for miles; it is a great hiking beach at low tide.

Swimming
While it can be excellent for swimming under the right conditions, always check the water before diving in. Although there are a few resorts and private properties nearby, you will mostly find yourself alone with the waves.
Fishing
Fishing is great along the beach, for Jacks , snapper and Roster fish. Lures work great great for casting past the siurf. White and a red head lures are good. But when I go the fishing store in Puerto jimenez, I will look at a lure and think if I was a fish I would eat it. Yes I have lots of lures. Just the other day I went panga fishing with a local anf he had a white and pink lure good for barricades. going to buy one. LOL
Wild life
Once again , best time to see wildlife is in the early Morning. You will see lots of seabirds plus scarlet Macaws. In the tree line you will see different animals. Anteaters, sloths, and coatis.
