Beachfront restaurant

Delfines restaurant is my favorite restaurant when I want to be by the ocean. The restaurant is only 30 feet away from the Sweet Gulf, or in Spanish, Golfo Dulce. It is a great place to eat and watch the calm water quietly lap on the shore, and watch the seabirds fly around looking for bait fish. Then The Scarlet macaws will show up to eat the beach almonds. You can feel the southern wind evey so calmly as you smell the salt air. The beach is a favorite place for locals to swim.

Open style restaurant

The restaurant is an open-style restaurant. My favoite place to sit is at the Bar that goes for 30 feet right in front of the Golfo Dulce. They have several outdoor tables right on the beach, plus inside there ae tables, and all of them are only 30 feet away from the sweet gulf.

Seafood is King

Seafood is their speciality. This will be my 15th year living on the Osa Peninsula. Whenever friends come to visit me, we always go to Delfines. I have a fishing buddy who comes down a couple of times a year. I pick him up at the airport, and the first thing we do is go to Delfines. Last year, two friends from Alaska came to visit me. My buddy ordered the grilled lobster for only $40.00. Their fried snapper is- did I already say Pura Vida- well, it is off the charts. Plus, their hamburgers and fries are only $10.00. The service

The service is excellent. You walk in, find a table, and sit down. Less than a minute later, the waiter comes up to your table with a smile. They hand you menus and ask what you want to drink

Presentation

Presentation of the dishes is outstanding. Even though the lobster takes center stage, the chef takes pride in arranging everything to look delicious. You can tell his love for cooking by the presentation.

The food

The food is Pura Vida delicious, Fresh seafood , juicy hamburgers. They have the best frried snapper I have ever had.

If you happen to see an older man with a baseball cap sitting on a bar stool, eating a hamburger and fries with an ice-cold Pilsner. With a look of complete peace. Come say hello to me.
