Un Dia Mas, Un Dia Menos. One more day ,one less day. it is a expression you will hear in Costa Rica. As you say good morning to someone their response is one more day one less day thank you God or God willing.
Costa Ricans understand that thier life is mesured by one more day one less day. For that reason they cherish each day. Happiness is common thruout the day
Everone wakes up every day before the sun comes up . by 6 am you can hear the weed wackers start up mowing some land. No one complains , knowing the morning hrs are the coolest. By the afternoon it is sometimes to hot to work. They take 2 hr lunches, eat and take a nap during the hot part of they day.
Costa Ricans know their time is short in the world . 97 percent of Costa Ricans are cathlic and believe in the after life . They except their time is short in the world but they believe it is just a starting point for them .
They are happy when they have food , a house to call HOME and they are healthy , to Costa Ricans that is called another saying PURA VIDA.
Amor is used often ,meaning love . thru out the day you will hear them say Amor .
PAPI is used to all males young and old , it has a lot of meanings . it means old man , or young man depening how they use it .
It is their cutlure ,after a while you will embrase it
